Rustom Scores Huge On 1st Monday (Independence Day) | Box Office Report

What seemed like a film that would do good business is now on a record breaking journey. The film had a HUGE Monday, what with 19.5 crore* collected at the Box Office. These are super-solid numbers indeed for the Akshay Kumar starrer and what is all the more remarkable about this is the fact that the Sunday numbers [19.88 crore] have been pretty much matched.

For a film that has been released on 2317 screens in India, Rustom is now almost running to capacity, which is a great feat indeed. The film currently stands at a whopping 4 days total of around 70 crores nett at the Box Office.

It is a different kind of fun altogether to watch a film in full house and this is what’s keeping audiences entertained in this court room drama. As for those associated with it [Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainment, Neeraj Pandey], it is time to count the big bucks as the film is galloping ahead towards the 100 crore mark.

In fact, it is not just about the century club as there are many other records being broken. While the Tinu Suresh Desai directed film is already enjoying the status of being one of the best weekends of the year, a rollicking Monday has brought it amongst the list of Top Grossers of 2016 already.
