Kapoor And Sons’ Overseas Box Office Report; Beats Airlift’s Opening Record!

Director Shakun Batra’s modern age family drama Kapoor And Sons featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles has taken a fantastic opening in the overseas market.

The film collected $2.9 million (19.27 crores) in its opening weekend in the overseas market and has beaten the opening weekend overseas collections of Akshay Kumar’s Airlift which was $2.78 million.

With this collection, Kapoor And Sons has emerged as the highest opener of 2016 in the international markets. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah in supporting roles.
