On its opening day, the film earned 1.25 crore against 786 shows in the country. The film saw a 72% jump in earnings on day 2, bringing in 2.15 crore. On day 3, the film held steady at the box office with 2.2 crore in earnings. On Sunday, the film lost 100 shows compared to Saturday. The net total of Nayanthara’s romance drama in India stands at 5.6 crore after its opening weekend. This equals 6.61 crore gross in India.

The romance drama has reportedly been made on a moderate budget of 30 crore. With its net total of 5.6 crore, Hi has recovered just 28% of its budget. However, the film is earning largely positive reactions from audiences and has the potential to run long in theaters.
Despite its slow start, Hi has the potential to recover its cost. It may take time, but the film will slowly prove to be a profitable affair at the box office.

Directed by Vishnu Edavan, Hi stars Nayanthara and Kavin in the lead. The film also stars K Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika, Sathyan, Adithya Kathir, and Kureishi, among others. Hi is being jointly produced by Zee Studios South, The Rowdy Pictures, and Seven Screen Studios. The film, which boasts a strong technical team, will have music by Jen Martin and cinematography by Rajesh Shukla. Editing for the film will be by the capable Philomin Raj, and art direction by Shekhar B. Dances in the film will be choreographed by Brinda, while stunts will be performed by Dinesh Kasi.
