This week another Hollywood release Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw has arrived in theatres. Backed by the popular franchise and considering the fan following of Dwayne Johnson in India, the movie is all set for a terrific start at the box office. It is touted to take another big opening for a Hollywood movie here.
Let’s take a look at the major centres of the country to know how the movie is faring across the country:
Hobbs & Shaw is pretty low in Mumbai with all blank across the major multiplexes of the city. In 3D and advanced versions, the ticket booking rate is just about 5%, while it’s all-available’ in other versions.
The capital region is slightly better than Mumbai with 5-10% fast filling shows across 3D and advanced versions of all languages. 2D is all blank.
Bengaluru is good with around 20% shows of 3D and advanced versions showing almost full occupancy in advance ticket sales. 2D is very low.
The response here is in contrast to other cities with around 75-80% shows filling fast for the 3D and advanced versions of all languages.
Pune, Kolkata and Chennai
Pune is showing poor buzz for the movie with a countable number of shows showing almost full occupancy in advance ticket sales.
Kolkata stays all dull.
Chennai is impressive with 45-50% shows filling fast for English 3D version, while the advanced version is almost full. Tamil version is showing around 20% shows with almost full occupancy in advance ticket sale.
