Dabangg 3 Box Office Day 10 Early Trends: Salman Khan’s latest outing is still tumbling between the mixed word of mouth and not as-expected collections at the box office. The star has already expressed a million times that his films are critics-proof, Dabangg 3 has been the same for him. It released and clashed with Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker which hardly had any effect on the film.
The movie has crossed the 130-crore mark at the box office but it now has a strong as a rock competition in Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz. Just in its week 2, Good Newwz has successfully taken over the driver’s seat and it has earned raving reviews & word of mouth.
As per the early trends flowing in, the movie has seen the routine weekend jump on its 2nd Sunday. Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 has collected in the range of 4.50 crores-5.50 crores. This could take the movie’s total collection in the range of 138-139 crores. It’s to be seen how it’ll fare on its 2nd Monday at the box office. Because that will decide the landing of the film.
Dabangg 3 landed in controversy when a Hindu outfit and sections of social media objected to a sequence in the title song Hud Hud Dabangg that shows saffron-clad sadhus dancing with guitars. The outfit, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, also sent a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanding the censor certificate of the film be cancelled, even as #BoycottDabangg3 had trended on social media.
Salman, who returns in his popular cop avatar of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3, on December 1 had reacted to the storm over the song saying that a certain section of people were trying to gain publicity by dragging the number unnecessarily into a controversy.
The Prabhudeva-directed film stars Salman Khan along with Sonakshi Sinha and introduces actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar in a pivotal role. The film also features Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep in the role of the villain.
