Last Friday of July is set to be a pretty interesting one for the Indian Box Office. There are holdover films like Super 30, The Lion King already doing well and there are new films like Arjun Patiala & Judgementall Hai Kya slated to release. Apart from that, Vijay Deverakonda’s film Dear Comrade is also coming on the same day.
Coming to the fresh Bollywood releases, Arjun Patiala & Judgementall Hai Kya, there are limited expectations from both films. The makers have put good efforts to promote their films but it’s the unexciting promos which have not let the interest among the audience grow.
Arjun Patiala Box Office Pre Release Buzz
The film has an interesting star cast with Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in lead. The genre is comedy which is mass appealing but somehow the film with its trailers has failed to excite the audience. The music hasn’t impressed which will keep its Box Office prospects limited.
I’ll rate the reach of the film as 5/10.
But it’s the buzz where the film lags even more. It hasn’t been able to create the right buzz among the fans and industry, in fact, it’s far below the mark. I’ll rate the buzz of the film as 2.5/10.
Judgementall Hai Kya Box Office Pre Release Buzz
Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut starrer Judgementall Hai Kya has been in quite many controversies and hence, it has got good reach among the audience. The problem which the movie has faced is similar to Arjun Patiala i.e. less appealing promos and music.
Though, the film is still tracking better than the former.
I’ll rate the reach of the film as 7/10.
The film has got pretty average kind of buzz and I’ll rate it as 4.5/10.
But it’s not all about the lack of buzz. As mentioned above, both films will be having a tough time at the Box Office also because of the competition from other releases.
Arjun Patiala will open somewhere in 2.5-3.5 crores range while Judgementall Hai Kya will be expected to do a business somewhere in 4.5-5.5 crores range on its opening day. After that everything will be dependent on the word of mouth.
Reach: The number of people who are aware of an upcoming film, its star cast and release date.
Buzz: The number of people who are consuming promotional content related to an upcoming film frequently.
