Angrezi Medium Box Office: After taking a decent start on an opening day, Irrfan Khan-Radhika Madan starrer dipped on the following days as the cinema halls were closed across the major cities due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. One can clearly see that the film despite garnering some positive feedbacks will hardly get even closer to its predecessor, Hindi Medium (69 crores), which also faced a clash with Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend.

Speaking about day 4 i.e first Monday, Angrezi Medium has registered the occupancy of 12-14% for the morning shows across the country. It’s quite stable when compared to 13-16% occupancy of yesterday but one needs to take into account the fact that more theatres have gone into ‘shutdown’ mode from today, which will eventually take down the numbers at the end of the day. Thus the film is sailing steadily but the reduction of screens is hampering its number game.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Ranveer Shorey, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia and others, in key roles. The film released on 13th March 2020.

Meanwhile, a day before the release, makers of Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium proclaimed of re-releasing the film in Kerala, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir – regions where cinema halls will remain shut till March 31 due to the coronavirus outbreak.

On Thursday, it was announced that cinema halls and schools will be shut in several regions as an effort to prevent the highly-contagious virus from spreading. While the Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi was immediately postponed, the makers of Angrezi Medium went ahead with the release on March 13 despite not being able to play the film in Delhi theatres.
