Finally, Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary has been released in the theatres. Earlier, the film was supposed to release on January 26, 2018. But due to Padmaavat and PadMan, Aiyaary had to shift their release date.

Despite getting a solo release, the film didn’t receive well at the Indian box office. Talking about overseas box office, the film is doing decent business over there.

On Friday, Aiyaary collected USD $ 419,000 and on Saturday, it collected USD $ 292,000. Aiyaary now stands at the grand total of USD $ 711,000 (4.57 crores) in the overseas market. The film collected 11.70 crores nett (14.97 crores gross) at the Indian box office. Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj’s starrer film has collected 19.54 crores at the worldwide box office.

Being a Neeraj Pandey film, fans and audience were expecting it to be another gem from the ace director. But the film has received mixed reviews from all over. Recently, speaking to Koimoi.com in an exclusive interview, Sidharth Malhotra spoke about the public review and criticism. When he was asked about most actors believe that public review doesn’t matter to them anymore as today everyone has become a critic and if he feels the same.

The Baar Baar Dekho actor said, “I think sadly yes, I won’t say critic but sadly the whole judgement of a film being good or bad is based on business. And it is now available on the internet and it’s accessible to everyone, so it’s a very sad state at times when people judge purely by numbers in the first one day, three days or lifetime. I think everyone has to make up their own mind. What suits a particular person might not suit the other. We have such a wide variety of audience in India, so that’s only I would say a sad thing that has happened through social media. They are so accessible and people are so obsessed with the business that sometimes they don’t appreciate the finer things in the film or what the filmmaker is trying to say.”
