All may not be well for the Shahid Kapoor–Sonam Kapoor starrer Mausam. The film’s release might be postponed following the Indian Air Force’s objection to a couple of scenes in the film. It may be mentioned that Shahid plays an IAF pilot in the film.
The film has not even been censored as yet (it is being viewed by the censors even as we write this piece). Getting a censor certificate is only half the battle won. The other equally challenging job for producers Sheetal Talwar and Eros International, and debut-making director Pankaj Kapur, is to get an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the IAF. It is also likely that the CBFC may not issue the censor certificate till the NOC from the IAF is received. Time is short and the task at hand is huge. If matters are not resolved by tomorrow (13 September) morning, Mausam will not be able to hit the screens on 16th September as scheduled. Will it be postponed to 23rd September?
