Actor Gulshan Devaiah is essaying the character of a struggling director in his upcoming film Pichchar. Gulshan says that he has taken inspiration from filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for the role.
When asked whether getting inspired from Anurag Kashyap to play the struggling director has helped him or not, Gulshan said, “It is still helping me because I am yet to shoot the portions for which he is the inspiration. I’ve shot one schedule with them but have to shoot the portions where I am using him and certain aspects of my role in Pichchar.”
He adds, “I have used my understanding of who he is as a person and my personal experience having known him and some information that I know about him. So, I am using that as an inspiration. It was a source material to help me create this character.”
On a funny note he said that, “He (Anurag Kashyap) doesn’t know about it.”
Gulshan Devaiah has unconventional films lined up this year which are Cabaret, Pichchar, A Death In The Gunj and Candy Flip.
