“We Are Not Divorcing, We Are Taking Time Off From Each Other” – Kalki-Anurag

Director Anurag Kashyap and his actress wife Kalki Koechlin are getting separated to take time off from their marriage. The two have been married for over two years now.

Time and again media reports have suggested a troublesome marriage for the two. Recently the couple issued a joint statement confirming the same. Kashyap specifically denied any possibility of a divorce, but definitely asked for some privacy.

“Me and Kalki are separating, we are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing. We request the media to please respect our privacy and give us our space and not speculate. Thank you, Kalki and Anurag,” the statement from the couple read.

The 29 year old actress Kalki Koechilin married 41 year old fantastic director Kashyap 2 years back. Kashyap known for his dark, off beat films like Black Friday, Gulal and Gangs of Wasseypur had met Kalki way back in 2009 on the sets of his film Dev D. The couple dated for a while before tying the knot in 2011.

This is Anurang’s second marriage. He was married to Aarti Bajaj before and they have a daughter together too. Known as one of Bollywood’s more reticent couples, Kalki and Anurag will hopeful settle their disagreements soon.
