Join UsThe sequel to the 2005 adult comedy, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, will star Tusshar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh as the lead pair.
“Ever since Kya Kool Hai Hum turned into a success, producer Ekta Kapoor and her brother Tusshar Kapoor were keen to bring the sequel on floor”, informs a trade source, “However they were unable to crack the right idea. KKHH director Sangeeth Sivan tried to work around a few subjects but never managed to get all of the concerned people on the same stage. Finally it was the film’s writer Sachin Yardi who came up with the idea that was given the green signal by Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor. As such, Sachin will also be directing the sequel, Kya Kool Hai Hum 2. Sachin’s debut movie as a director was C Kkompany.
Confirms Tusshar, “Yes, Sachin would be directing the sequel for us. We have been in regular touch for long and the idea that he has come up for the sequel is going to take ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’ franchise many notches up. We would be beginning the film’s shoot this year itself.” With Riteish already confirmed for the sequel, this would be the actor’s third franchise where he is working on a sequel. While he has already wrapped up a major portion of Double Dhamaal, he would be seen in Housefull 2 as well. As for Tusshar, he already has the Golmaal series to be proud of. Neha Dhupia and Eesha Koppikhar, who starred in the original ‘Kyaa Kool Hai Hum’, will be replaced by newer faces for the sequel.
