It seems that controversies and Sidharth Malhotra go hand-in-hand! Sidharth Malhotra, who is all geared up for his upcoming film, Aiyaary, apologised Neetu Chandra on his Twitter account for disrespecting the Bhojpuri language.

It all started with Sidharth’s appearance on Salman Khan’s TV reality show, Bigg Boss 11 where he and the team of Aiyaary were spotted promoting the film.

The team was having a gala time at the Bigg Boss 11 show. The show host Salman Khan gave Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra a task to narrate one of his dialogues in the Bhojpuri language. But things got awkward when Sidharth said that saying the dialogues in Bhojpuri gave him a latrine kind of feeling.

Well, this comment of the Baar Baar Dekho actor didn’t go well with Neetu Chandra as she slammed him on Twitter. She wrote, “So disappointed @S1dharthM some1who is so fortunate 2 work wd d best. Who despite being an outsider has made a name 4 himself,4 U 2 use ur words so loosely. 2 disrespect #Bhojpuri on national TV. SHOCKED! How on earth does speaking in #Bhojpuri gives u a latrine feeling.Shame on U.”

Replying to Neetu’s tweet, Sidharth made an apology on Twitter and wrote, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process, if I inadvertently hurt anyone’s feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”

On the work front, Sidharth’s film Aiyaary will be locking horns with Akshay Kumar’s Padman at the box office on February 9. 2018. Earlier, speaking about the clash, Sid told IANS, “Yes, it irritates, but now it’s too late. What can we do now? Look, we announced the date first. When PadMan makers unveiled their release date, we were gracious enough to shift our release date to avoid the clash.”
