Meet the characters of Ra.One:

G.One

G.One is the protagonist of Ra.One. Shah Rukh Khan’s G.One has been created from electricity and comes from virtual world into the real, on plane created from electro magnetic waves around us. His vocal apparatus is equipped with cognitive ability to interpret 400 languages. He also controls the art of ‘Controlled Probability’ (Controlled Probability is the ability to alter probability, causing unlikely things to happen or likely things not to happen). He has his own unique flying system – propellant suction shoes that can take him to the moon and back in a matter of no time!

Ra.One

The dark side of the game. Arjun Rampal, as Ra.One, wreaks havoc when he enters the real world. Will G.One be able to stand up to him?

Shekhar Subramanium

Apart from numerous degrees in technology, Shekhar Subramanium (Shah Rukh Khan) he also is also a double PhD. This video game designer is a nerd to the core. A terrible driver, Shekhar has run over all the household pets and plants. He also likes Carnatic music, much to the chagrin of his wife and son.

Sonia Subramanium

An over the top feminist, Sonia Subramanium (Kareena Kapoor) abuses at the drop of a hat. If her hubby Shekhar has a double PhD in ‘Nerdology’, Sonia has a triple PhD in ‘Abuse-o-logy’. And beware, men are the target of her not-so-sweet words. Jenny, the hacker, and Sonia are good friends; while Jenny speaks the tech lingo and Sonia is still searching for the space bar and the mouse on the keyboard! Though married to a geek, Sonia cannot stand technology, video or computers. For her, the world of video games begins and ends with Super Mario (though she’s stuck on level one for quite some time now). Sonia also wants her son and husband to bond.

Prateek Subramaniam

The 13 year old game-o-holic, Prateek Subramanium (Armaan Verma) is the son of Shekhar and Sonia Subramanium. His best friends are ET (Rumor has that he last interacted with an alien and hasn’t uttered a word since), April (she may be a girl but slam-dunks better than all the guys around her) and Naina (our little hero may have a slight soft corner for this one). While he may not be too fond of his dad, his mother’s melodrama adds to his woes. And of course the class bully who never spares him.

Barron

The boss from hell, Barron (Dalip Tahil) just topped the ‘Billionaires club’, and is busy moving on to the ‘trillionaires’ list! He works the lives out of his employes and yet hates Shekhar Subramanium and his entire team of video game designers’ who perform consistently for him.

Uncle Iyer a.k.a Mota Iyer

Mota Iyer (Satish Shah) loves to chew on his neighbour’s brains. He believes in maximum ventilation, ‘inside out’ and ‘outside in’, and hence always wears the lungi! Always seen around the refrigerator to maintain his ‘healthy’ paunch.
