The Salman-Shah Rukh cold war went to another level as Salman Khan bagged the role of host for the next season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. Amitabh Bachchan was the host for the season three of the show and played the role of friend, philosopher and guide for the contestants. Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were considered for the part but SRK had to turn it down since he is busy shooting for RA. One.

It seems like television isn’t a good prospect for King Khan anymore. Amitabh Bachchan replaced him as host for the latest season of the quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Even SRK’s ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ didn’t return on television.

Salman, on the other hand is riding the wave. He will be up against Amitabh on prime-time as they host different shows on different channels. But it doesn’t seem that Salman will be taking the role of the kind sutradhar (narrator-host) on the show as his predecessor. After all, people tuned on to his previous game show, ‘Dus Ka Dum’ to watch Salman’s witty remarks and wicked sense of humour. Looks like a good start for Salman ‘Robinhood’ Khan who already has everyone cheering for his upcoming film Dabangg just with the trailer and song out!
