The Mumbai Sessions Court is likely to give order in the Salman Khan hit and run case today. Salman, whose infamous Land Cruiser accident which killed a pavement dweller and injured four more, way back on 28th September, 2002 is being re-tried in a Sessions’ court with Khan being charged with a higher charge of culpable homicide amounting to murder that will met him out to 10 years of imprisonment.
Salman has challenged the Magistrate’s order and now the case is being heard again in the Sessions Court by Justice U.B Hejib. The actor was earlier tried for Death by Negligence and now his counsel will try to prove that the Magistrate’s decision was erroneous since Khan had no motive to kill anyone despite consuming more than 60 ml of alcohol on the day of the accident.
The case that will see its order today, will turn out to be a very crucial day for Dabangg Khan and all his producers with many of his films lined up. Bringing back bitter memories of Sanjay Dutt’s imprisonment, Salman’s case is a grave testing time for Bollywood.
