After the success of Bharat, Salman Khan is all geared up to rock the box office with his eye-catchy line up of projects. Currently busy on Dabangg 3, Khan’s another anticipated sequel Kick 2 has got its schedule finalised, thus making this morning really a good one for the fans.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Kick 2 to go on floors in 2020 and the team is taking time to pen a good content. Speaking on the same, a source close to the project started, “Since Kick was a much-loved film, Sajid and his writing team is taking things extremely slow, to ensure that part two lives up to the expectations of the audience.”
“There have been several brain-storming sessions to lock the premise of the story, which carries forward the franchise. They have finally zeroed in on the idea. The character is deeply layered. There’s a lot about him that has been left to explore. Devil’s character is extremely unpredictable. That is precisely what makes his role all the more unique. Sajid will further explore this side of the character in part two,” the source adds.
Salman Khan is quite intrigued to return in his ‘sanki’ avatar and is discussing the script with Sajid. “Salman and Sajid are constantly in touch—the discussion is mostly about Kick 2. Both of them are extremely keen and eager to team up again. Sajid has discussed the basic premise of the film with him, and Salman Khan is quite kicked about the project,” quotes the source.
Just like the previous part, Kick 2 will be shot in India as well as abroad.
As Kick completes 5 years today, it is a nostalgic feeling for producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala and is in full swing to lock the final script. “It’s a nostalgic day for me. I have started penning down the second instalment. The first draft is ready. The second draft is in its initial stage. I’m excited for this journey to begin as much as fans are to witness it. The Devil will return soon,” adds Sajid.
