Salman Khan has been planning everything grande for his upcoming Prabhudheva directorial, Dabangg 3. Starting from the music promotions to changing his Twitter handle to Chulbul Pandey, everything has been unique for the third instalment of the cop franchise. But now it’s getting bigger than ever with the superstar eyeing for Bollywood’s widest ever release!
Yes, you heard it right! If recent reports are to be believed, Salman Khan along with the makers have plans to make Dabangg 3 witness the widest ever release with maximum numbers of screens (around 5400) across the country. With a mixture of talented cast from Bollywood as well as South, theatre owners everywhere are willing to buy the rights and that is only an added advantage for the team.
A source close to Bollywood Hungama reveals the same as, “It is releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, and will easily be the biggest release for a Bollywood film. Kichcha Sudeep’s presence has ensured ample of demand for the action entertainer in Karnataka, and the exhibitors are very keen to screen the film during the Christmas weekend.”
Furthermore talking about the Hindi release, the source further added, “While most of the distributors focus on getting maximum showcasing in the metro cities and national multiplex chains, team Dabangg is making it a point to reach out to the least common denominator and ensure right show-casing in the small town as well.” further revealing that talks are on to start the Dabangg 3 morning shows from 9.30 am. “Plans are to get a lot of single screens have early shows starting from 9.30 am, which will help team Dabangg get five shows per single screen, as compared to the conventional template of four shows a day.”
Previously we have seen some biggies like Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan, Salman’s own Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat going that grand, but clearly the makers are planning on surpassing it all with their upcoming release.
Meanwhile, Dabangg 3 starring Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar, Kichcha Sudeep amongst others is slated for a December 20, 2019 release.
