Dabangg may have made Salman Khan’s stardom unquestionable, but looks like his television venture, ‘Bigg Boss 4’ isn’t going all that well after all. The show has been wrapped in controversies since it went on air early last month. After allegations of vulgarity on the show, and the controversial entry of Pamela Anderson, now Bigg Boss has lost its prime time broadcasting slot.
Earlier the TRP ratings of the show weren’t doing all that well thanks to competition from Amitabh Bachchan’s game show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. But soon after the entry of Dolly Bindra, the show took a new turn. The aggressive Dolly picked fights with almost every inmate in the house which led to many verbal duels between the contestants. After people complained of the adult language on the show (though it was always beeped/censored out), the Information and Broadcasting ministry has decided to shift the timings of the show from 9 pm to 11pm.
And its not only Salman’s show that’s getting the bureaucratic rap on the knuckles; controversy queen, Rakhi Sawant’s show, ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ will also be shifted to the 11pm slot because of the alleged adult verbal exchanges on the show.
Bigg Boss Update
While ‘Playboy’ hottie Pamela Anderson has just made her entry into the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, two other inmates, Dolly Bindra and Samir Soni, have been evicted on the grounds of indiscipline. While Bindra and Soni almost came to blows on the show, Soni seems to have his supporters on Twitter. Celina Jaitly, Sophie Choudry, Divya Dutta, Pritish Nandy & Mushtaq Shiekh have stood spoken up for Samir after he supported Shweta Tiwari in a face-off with Dolly Bindra.
Though the timings of Bigg Boss, of which Salman is the host, were supposed to be changed from Wednesday, the show was aired on the usual timing. Authorities of Colors said that they had not received an official notice as it was a public holiday due to Bakri Eid. The question is, how long will they evade the late-night slot?
