Yes, you heard it right. It is now confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan’s Hollywood debut, The Great Gatsby, is scheduled to release on 25 December 2012, just days within the release of Salman Khan’s much-awaited Dabangg 2, slated for a 21 December release.

While Arbaaz Khan is helming the Dabangg sequel, famed Australian filmmaker Baz Lurhmann is directing the Hollywood film which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton, Daisy Buchanan, Myrtle Wilson and Tobey Maguire. The multi-starrer Hollywood film is scheduled to be released in 2D and 3D versions in India on Christmas, simultaneously with the US release.

On the other hand, Salman Khan and his director-brother Arbaaz are leaving no stone unturned to make Dabangg 2 a grand affair. As reported, the film’s music has already been hailed to be super-hit. What’s more, the satellite rights of the sequel were sold even before the shooting began!

This Christmas one can certainly expect a lot of fireworks at the Indian box-office.
