Ever since Coronavirus spread has started peaking in India, Bollywood celebs have been continuously making people aware of the deadly situation. It’s being strongly recommended that people shouldn’t get out of their house unless very important. 21-day-lockdown was implemented for the same reason. Now Salman Khan has taken to social media to appreciate people for following the rules and not getting out of the house.
Salman shared a couple of pictures on social media, one of them being of empty road and the other one of empty Qabristan and Masjid.
The superstar thanked everyone for co-operation and wrote, “Wah ! Thank u for listening n understanding the gravity of this situation the country is in . God bless n protect each n every 1 . . #IndiaFightsCorona”
Earlier, Salman extended help to 25,000-odd daily wage workers of the film industry whose lives have been affected by the ongoing national lockdown that has brought all filming activity in Bollywood to a grinding halt.
Salman Khan’s contribution will aid the artistes of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), said the body’s president BN Tiwari.
“After we approached Salman Khan, he asked us to give him a count of the most affected workers from our association and we told him there were 25,000 such artistes. He has decided to contribute for them. We will be sending him the list in the evening,” said Tiwari, according to a report in indianexpress.com.
He also deposited money into the bank accounts of the crew of his forthcoming movie Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.
Money has been deposited into the accounts of all workers who were supposed to be part of the unit between March 26 and April 2.
Confirming the news, makeup artist Subhash Kapoor told news portal Spotboye: “What a great thing to do. I thank Salman sir from the bottom of my heart. Times are so tough.”
