Saif Ali Khan is all scheduled to appear in an usual on screen avatar for his next film Go Goa Gone. Blending thrills with humor, the film will se Chote Nawab playing a zombie slayer. Sounding more of a paradox, this is an upcoming venture of Illuminati Films and Eros International, who are quite thrilled to be working in such an unusual project. It will be the first film of its kind in India. Deemed to be a Zombie Comedy, the film is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. Slotted to be released on May 10th, 2013, the film will star Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tewari and Puja Gupta.
Camaraderie, rolling on the floor comedy teamed with slick zombie action, the directors found it a challenging project after Shor In The City, trying that hand in multiple genres keeping alive their versatility and knack of art.
Talking of Saif’s role in the film, he plays the role of a Russian Mafia Lord named Boris. Being the actor as well as the film’s producer, he has invested himself and his money exactly where his heart is. Saif Ali Khan exclaimed, “I loved Boris from the first time I discovered him. He is tough, cool and funny. He has a good heart and he is brave. A hysterical dynamics drives him and his boys. I was very excited to play Boris, the zombie hunter and even more to produce the film.”
Dinesh Vijan, the producer of Illuminati Films explained their interest in the film by specifically pointing out their affinity for Boris’ character, one left unraveled on screen by Bollywood. Being a fresh character and a new concept, the zombies in the film will ensure that the audiences are kept on the edge of their seats and the humor will make one fall of it. For Bollywood and Indian cinema, this ZOM-COM (zombie comedy) is indeed an epic venture, mostly a genre defining film.
