‘Sadak 2‘, which is a remake of 1991 released, ‘Sadak‘, went on floors in May. The film starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Alia Bhatt in lead, has been in news from day one since its announcement.
The latest news related to the remake from the film’s set is, Jisshu Sengupta, a popular actor from Bengali industry has been roped in to play the role of dad of Alia.
Talking about Jisshu Sengupta, the actor who was last seen on big screens in Kangana Ranaut starrer, ‘Manikarnika‘, has also ventured in other Bollywood hits like ‘Pink‘ and ‘Barfi‘.
Apart from Aditya and Alia, the remake will also stars, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in major roles.
The shooting of ‘Sadak 2‘ is currently being shot in Ooty. And with this remake filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has returned to direction after a gap a long gap of 20 years.

Talking about the original film, ‘Sadak‘ had Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead. The film when released, back in 1991, went on to become a huge hit, as the story and the lead pair along with the film’s music were very well appreciated by the audience all over.
Talking about the original film’s music, the songs ‘Tumhe Apne Banane’ along with other songs went on to make a mark on the list of chartbusters.
‘Sadak 2‘, is slated for release on 25th March 2020.
