After Mouni Roy came on board, now, wrestler Saurav Gurjar has joined the Brahmastra team. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
In this Ayan Mukerji directorial, Saurav Gurjar is all set to make his Bollywood debut. He will be seen in a negative role.
When he was asked about his character in the film, Saurav said in a statement, “I will be seen playing a negative role. It’s a modern-day film set in India. But the reason it’s called Brahmastra is because the energies, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India.”
He further added, “Brahmastra is a weapon of Hindu God Brahma, who is called the creator of universe, and hence is considered quite powerful.”
Saurav is currently in Florida, US for World Wrestling Entertainment training. “I am thankful to WWE for giving me the permission and allowing me to do the film,” he said. Saurav, who is known for doing Bheem and Ravan on small screen, will start shooting for the film by early next month.
Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure which said to be a trilogy and the first part would be hitting the silver screens on August 15, 2019.
As per DNA, the budget of Brahmastra is said to be more than Rs. 100 crore. A source informed the daily, “Karan plans to go big with Brahmastra. He has asked the team not to worry about the budget. KJo understands that a superhero film needs a mounting of a certain stature. The approximate budget of the film is expected to be over 100 crore, which also means that Brahmastra will be KJo’s biggest film till date, budget-wise.”
