Director Nitesh Tiwari is currently basking in the glory of his latest release, Chhichhore, which has turned out to be a massive success at the box office. He’s all set to come up with another magnum opus, Ramayana, which is being made on a massive budget of 600 crores. Reportedly, Hrithik Roshan & Deepika Padukone were being considered as the leads, but the War actor has quashed all the rumours, at least on his end.
Hrithik is currently busy with the promotions of War which will witness him pitted against Tiger Shroff in a larger than life drama. During the promotions, when the actor was asked about Ramayana, he denied all the ongoing rumours as he said, “No, the film has not been offered to me. I have no knowledge on the project.”
Moreover, speaking about the characters and how interesting would it be to be a part of the mythological drama, he said, “Every character has his own unique trait in the film. But Ram’s character is very interesting. If one gives Ram some grey shades, he could become a very interesting character.”
Now that Hrithik has set the records straight, only time will tell who will actually play Ram but we hope it is the actor himself!
Meanwhile, some days back Nitesh Tiwari in a conversation surrounding the reports also said, “You said rumours, right? I have not yet started thinking about the cast yet. First, we are trying to get it right on papers, with our executions, and with our thought process and everything. We are still trying to get there.. baaki baate we’ll start with later.”
