Some important portions of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil action film 2.0, a sequel to the blockbuster Enthiran, will be shot at the popular Jawaharlal Nehru stadium from Thursday.
“Some high-octane action sequences will be shot in this schedule, which will last for over a month,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
These action sequences will feature Rajinikanth and the film’s antagonist Akshay Kumar, and will be shot at a section of the stadium, which is also hosting the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016.
“The team has erected massive and expensive sets to shoot this action portion,” the source added. Directed by Shankar, the film also stars Amy Jackson.
While double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is composing the tunes, popular cinematographer Nirav Shah is cranking the camera.
