John Abraham starrer Batla House has been making a lot of noise lately for reasons, both in favour and against the film. While the promos have been working great, the first song O Saki Saki released yesterday featuring Nora Fatehi but the original Saki girl, Koena Mitra has disapproved the remake. Moreover, netizens go right behind rooting her.

As soon as Koena got to know about the recreation, she took to her Twitter to express her disappointment, and ended up calling it a “mess”. After the song released yesterday, several Twitteratis supported the actress with their stance that the song shouldn’t have been remade. One of them being actress Sophie Choudry, she quoted Koena’s tweet and wrote, “You were outstanding in that song Koena!! Nora is lovely but wish every single song wasn’t being remade.. especially when the original still sounds so amazing and fresh!! Sunidhi and Sukhiji killed it!”

O Saki Saki From Batla House: Netizens Support Koena Mitra & Rant, “Remake Karne Waale Pehle Tu Music Toh Seekh Le”

To this, the former replied, “Thanks Sophie. I agree, Iconic songs shouldn’t be remade. Sunidhi and sukhiji shouldn’t have been replaced… Simple.”

It’s like a trend of remake going on in the industry, starting from songs to movies, and the veterans don’t really seem to be in awe of it.

Meanwhile, several users backed the actress. Below are some of the tweets:

O Saki Saki, the original version featured Sanjay Dutt & Koena, and was a part of the movie Musafir (2004).

The recreated version is a part of Batla House and is sung by Neha Kakkar, Tulsi Kumar and composed by Tanishk Bagchi.
