If one looks closely at the trailer of Main Tera Hero, the obvious similarity of the young Varun Dhawan with Govinda or even Salman Khan is hard to miss. When Koimoi caught up with the young actor recently, it was hard to resist asking him about it. “Govinda is my favorite too. It is hard to replace Govinda or Salman in my dad’s life so better quit trying.”
Varun continued about his role, “When I walked into Main Tera Hero, the script desired a young boy and I have done my best to get the same essence. With two such gorgeous women cast opposite me, my character was expected to react as anyone of my age would.”
Ask him if he feels perturbed by the constant comparisons with Govinda and Salman Khan and Varun is quick to revert with, “When I did Student Of Year, no one thought my acting has the flavor of Govinda or Salman. In this film it happened primarily because my father has directed both of them in multiple films. He was worked so much with them that his style of filmmaking is similar to how we see them as well. Probably that is why there is a visible similarity. It’s because of Dad.”
Main Tera Hero directed by David Dhawan seems like a delicious film that is the right measure of hilarious and entertaining.
Starring Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles, the film is all set to hit the theatres next week.
