Mumbai Academy Of Moving Image (MAMI) will felicitate Manoj Kumar with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Mumbai Film Festival. The award will be presented to him on October 28. According to reports, it was initially offered to Waheeda Rehman who turned it down as she felt she didn’t deserve it.

The 12th Mumbai Film Festival will play host to a first-ever all-women jury in India. The jury includes ace filmmakers Jane Campion, Tanya Seghatchian, Samira Makhmalbaf, Yoon Jeong-Hee and Suhasini Maniratnam. The Mumbai Film Festival will be open for film lovers from 21st October to 28th October.

Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) is a body comprised of Indian film industry stalwarts which was founded in 1997 by late filmmaker Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
