Janhvi had just announced that Madhuri had replaced Sridevi. However, she did not the mention the title of the film. She wrote, “Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart …Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuriji for now being a part of this beautiful film…” and shared a photo of the two actresses from a reality show.
The movie was going to star Sridevi, along with Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor. Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt were last seen together on-screen in Gumrah, almost 25 years ago. Her untimely demise came as a shock to everyone, since the cause of death was cited as ‘accidental drowning’.
