Kareena Kapoor finally got waxed! The Chammak challo unveiled her wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool. On seeing her wax figure for the first time Kareena said: “It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for Indian cinema. The figure looks incredible and is so life like, I had to do a double take when I saw myself – they have really done a superb job at capturing my essence.”
A special Bollywood room has been created within Madame Tussauds Blackpool for this special exhibition, which will be the attraction until January, before it moves to Bangkok.
Other Bollywood stars who have their figures at Tussauds are:
While Aishwarya Rai already had a statue at Madame Tussauds, a new one of hers is inspired from her 2011 Cannes appearance.
Shah Rukh Khan also has a wax statue at Tussauds since 2007.
Bollywood’s chronic bachelor, Salman Khan, made his way to the museum in 2008.
In 2011, Hrithik Roshan was immortalised in his Dhoom 2 look at the wax museum.
And of course, Amitabh Bachchan has his own wax figure too.
