Kareena Kapoor Khan On Auditioning For Laal Singh Chaddha: “Did It Only For Aamir Khan; Wouldn’t Have Auditioned Even For Hollywood”

Kareena Kapoor Khan has reunited with Aamir Khan for a film titled Laal Singh Chaddha which is an official adaptation of Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. For the film, Bebo had auditioned to get the role and it was the first time the actress ever auditioned for a film.

During the group interview for her upcoming film Good Newwz, Kareena was asked that she had never auditioned for any film earlier. So what were her thoughts when Aamir Khan told to audition for the film? The actress gave quite an interesting answer.

Bebo said, “I said it even in my earlier interviews that I would never audition. In these 20 years, no one has ever told me that you have to read these 2 scenes. But, I think, even it was for Hollywood, I don’t think I would have auditioned. But I’ve auditioned only because it is Aamir Khan and because I know what his potential is and I know what is his intent. His intent is he just wants to create a world and in his world, he wants to be 100 per cent sure.”

“Though when I was reading the scene, in the back of my mind, I’ve already known that I can do this because I knew that I’ve nailed it because I’m this character. He also told me when you were midway to the scene, I was telling Advait that she did it. This is it. It’s because he can see his character in that and I really admire him for that,” added Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Laal Singh Chaddha is being helmed by Advait Chandan and it is slated for Christmas 2020 release.
