It’s raining biopics in Bollywood and now one more has just entered the queue. Yes, we are talking about Ambulance Man, Karimul Haque’s biopic which will reportedly have none other than Shah Rukh Khan or Sonu Sood in lead.
Those who don’t know Karimul Haque has been honoured with a Padma Shri Award for his social service. After Karimul lost his mother due to a lack of a medical emergency facility, he started his own bike ambulance services. Hailing from a remote village in Kolkata, Karimul has helped hundreds of people by providing on-time ambulance services.
Both King Khan and Sonu Sood have been constantly in news in 2020. While SRK has remained in trend for his upcoming unannounced films, Sonu Sood has been in talks for all the social service he has been doing during pandemic especially lockdown.
As per Uttarbanga Sambad’s report, Karimul Haque was recently in Mumbai to sign a contract regarding the making of the biopic. This is where he confirmed the same and said, “It is a matter of great honour for me that a film is being made based on my life. If this film manages to inspire people, nothing can be better than that.”
Also talking about meeting Sonu Sood personally for the film he said, “I have met Sonu Sood personally. He is a very good person. He told me that he wants to play my character onscreen.”
However, he added that the makers may not cast Sonu Sood because there is a huge difference in their physical appearance. “But he is almost a foot taller than me,” he said.
Apart from Sonu Sood, it’s Shah Rukh Khan who is being considered for the role. The film is expected to go on floors next month and will be directed by Vinay Mudgal.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has been trending all over for his upcoming film Pathan. The upcoming espionage thriller is expected to be a part of YRF’s spy universe. The film also starring Deepika Padukone & John Abraham will have a cameo from Salman Khan as well.
