Bollywood has seen some masterpieces. But there’s a downside too. Over the years, several highly anticipated films have turned out to be huge disappointments. Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, Salman Khan’s Race 3 is unforgettable for many in recent times. But it takes a massacre to be ranked into the ‘Worst Rated IMDb films of all time.’ Unexpectedly, adding to the list is Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
But the worst is yet to come. Not only has the Mahesh Bhatt directorial entered the list, but has also topped it. Yes, you heard that right. Alia Bhatt-Aditya Roy Kapur starrer is the worst IMDb rated film till date. But want to know who is in the Top 5? Hint: Ajay Devgn made it to the list, twice!
1. Sadak 2 – 1.0
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, Mahesh Bhatt and family were already under the radar. Alia Bhatt even ended up restricting her social media comments owing to the backlash. It continued with the Sadak 2 trailer turning out to be 2nd most disliked on Youtube. Now, the film has achieved another rock bottom. It has been termed as the worst IMDb rated film with 96% of the total votes in the list.
2. Deshdrohi – 1.4
Not one, but this Kamaal R Khan film went wrong for multiple reasons. From the direction to the poor performances, nothing worked in favour. The 2008 film was written and produced by KRK himself. With a rating of 1.4, IMDb was flooded with dislikes for Deshdrohi.
3. Himmatwala – 1.7
A blockbuster was expected when fans heard of Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah’s pairing. Especially after Singham, expectations were huge from this Sajid Khan directed action-comedy. However, from script to the dialogues, nothing struck the chords with moviegoers. Result? A massive dip in the ratings and reviews.
4. Humshakals – 1.7
Sajid Khan has created a name in the comedy genre. Just not that, he’s known to make multi-starrer projects and use each of one the actors to their best acting capabilities. However, the same was not the case with this 2014 film. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor amongst others – viewers found it even below the ‘PJ’ level. It procured a little lower than Himmatwala in votings.
5. AAG -1.7
Another Ajay Devgn starrer. With an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay, Mohanlal, Sushmita Sen amongst others – many expected it to reach sky-high. But the RGV directed fil turned out to be another huge dud. As compared to Himmatwala’s 7734 votes and Humshakals (7489), this one was lucky enough to lead behind with 1,000+ votes. Hence, the 5th position despite similar ratings.
