Yesterday, it was reported that Uri: The Surgical Strike to be screened again across the country on the auspicious of Kargil Vijay Diwas and now there’s more interesting insight regarding the same. According to the latest reports flowing in, the movie to be screened for free in the theatres of Maharashtra.
In order to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas and spark a sense of patriotism amongst youth, Maharashtra state to host free screenings of Uri: The Surgical Strike on 26th July for 10 am shows across all the theatres in the state. At Sahyadri guest house, Ex-Servicemen Welfare Minister Sambhaji Patil- Nilangekar had a meeting with film distributors, theatre owners and film organizations. After the meeting, everyone agreed on the proposal of free screening.
Procedure and circulars regarding the screening will be issued in every district through the collector.
Well it’s quite an innovative move by the government to inspire the youth and we wish it to be followed in every state of India.

The gritty drama traces the real-life events of the 2016 Uri attack and its aftermath, features Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina.
