So it is finally confirmed. Ekta Kapoor will be making the sequel to the paranormal thriller, Ragini MMS. Incidentally, the same cast is likely to take the story forward, with the sequel answering questions raised in the first film.
Hence, Ragini MMS 2 will explain the events that led to the Maharashtrian lady being tainted as a chudail (witch) and being blamed for the death of her family. Along with this, the film will also follow up on Ragini and Uday’s story.
“The movie should go on the floors by the year-end”, said producer Ekta Kapoor, who is also toying with the idea of making the sequel in 3D.

“Many have been wondering what happened to Ragini after she was found unconscious in the haunted house. Well, she survived but being traumatised by the events of the night, she had to go in for therapy. After that, even I’m clueless”, laughs lead actor Kainaz Motivala, who is expected to return with co-star Rajkumar Yadav.
The original Ragini, whose so-called MMS scandal was the trigger for the film, was threatening to sue the producers before release, due to apprehension that the sex scenes would be associated with her. But no such thing has happened so far. And so we now have ‘Ragini MMS 2’, which promises to be scarier and steamier than the first!
