Weekend moviegoers at a suburban Bombay mall were in for a pleasant surprise when they realized that the mall was being used as a location for the shooting of the Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer, Lafangey Parindey, a film based on the rivalry between bike gangs in Bombay.
The lobby of the mall had been cordoned off, and the escalators shut, forcing patrons to take the overcrowded lifts or the stairs. Not that they minded in the least, and indulged themselves by taking pictures of the two vanity vans in the precincts of the mall.
Actors Deepika and Neil arrived around midnight and the shooting went on till the wee hours of the morning. A Yash Raj Films’ production, Lafangey Parindey is being directed by Pradeep Sarkar of Parineeta fame. Buzz is that the film will see Deepika and Neil in extremely challenging roles.
