South superstar Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade is all set to release on July 26 in the theatres. But even before the release, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has acquired the rights of the film to remake it in Hindi.
The heartthrob Vijay was spotted yesterday at the Mumbai airport and it left everyone curious as to why he is here! Soon after his arrival here, he headed to meet KJo.
After a while, Karan made an announcement on his social media handles. He shared a picture with Vijay and wrote, “Had the pleasure to be the first to see #dearcomrade ! What a powerful and intense love story !!! Top notch performances by @thedeverakonda and @rashmika_mandanna !! The film is exceptionally moving and leaves you with such an important and relevant message! Strongly directed by debut director @bharatkamma and wonderfully produced by @mythriofficial !! Exceptional music by #justinprabhakaran Glad to ANNOUNCE that @dharmamovies will be producing the Hindi remake of #dearcomrade !! Super excited about this!!!”
Well, looks like after the success of Kabir Singh which is an official remake of Vijay’s film Arjun Reddy, Bollywood is opting for South remakes now! We can’t really wait to see this story on the big screen. We wonder who will step in the shoes of Vijay and Rashmika.
Meanwhile, Dear Comrade will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
