The Central Board of Film Certification in Hyderabad has objected to a quote, ‘Revenge is the purest emotion’, reportedly taken from Mahabharata, used in the posters of Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakht Charitra. The producers have been instructed by the CBFC to remove the quote from the posters.

The censor board raised the point that is no proof that the quote in question, ‘Revenge is the purest emotion’, is indeed from the Mahabharata.  With all the poster designs already made and distributed, the producers have no option but to change them, which involves a huge cost.
