A never-seen-before controversy has been witnessed in terms of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala and Sunny Singh’s Ujda Chaman. Both the movies based on premature balding have been indulged in a battle regarding its releases, which soon turned into a box office clash until the makers of Ujda Chaman preponed their release to 1st November. But things do not seem to end anytime soon as now the Bala makers are planning to arrive at the ticket windows on 31st October.

Bala makers seem to think way beyond the business which might be affected by a biggie like Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 and have it all planned already. A source close to Bollywood Hungama reveals it all as, “Bala will in fact release on Thursday, October 31, a day before Ujda Chaman. The producers of Bala are having a race against time to ensure that their film makes it on October 31, even if that means minimal time for promotions.”

Moreover, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer is said to have its advance booking started anytime soon after an official announcement is made, which too is happening soon. “The official announcement will be made by Sunday (October 27) or Monday (October 28). They’ll also throw open the advance booking of Bala as soon as they announce its new release date,” reveals the source.

But how would they combat the competition from Housefull 4? “Housefull 4 is the biggest film of the week with an extensive release and looking at the response, it’s bound to fall from Tuesday or Wednesday onwards. Hence the exhibitors won’t have any issue in giving away shows to Bala and also to Ujda Chaman,” the source adds.

However, things may not be as easy. Two cases have been filed against Bala. One by the makers of Ujda Chaman regarding its release, and the other by filmmaker Kamal Kant Chandra who has accused the makers of copying his movie, Wig.

Meanwhile, Ujda Chaman is the official adaptation of the Kannada movie, Ondu Motteya Kathe, and the makers are claiming Bala to be an unofficial copy of the same.
