Actor Amit Sadh has come a long way after his debut with the horror film Phoonk 2. And now Amit Sadh will next be seen in Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi; a film that revolves around the real-life math genius, Shakuntala Devi who was more fondly known as the Human-Computer.
While most actors today say that the content of the film is the most important aspect for them to sign any movie, Amit reveals that everything from the film’s subject, to the script and directors and co-actors, is important to him before he signs the dotted line for a project.
And now in his latest chat with Hindustan Times, Amit has said that he is thrilled to be a part of the film because of Vidya Balan and Vikram Malhotra. Explaining the bond he shares with both of them, the Gold actor said, “My association with Vikram Malhotra (the film’s producer) goes a long way back. He cares about me, my career, and believes in my talent. So, when he offers me a part, half the battle is won. Then, I met Anu (Menon; director of the film). I just love her as a director. When she narrated me the script, I instantly liked it. And everybody knows I am a big fan of Vidya, so I could not let go of an opportunity to work with her.”
Speaking about the Shakuntala Devi biopic, the film features Vidya Balan playing the titular role alongside Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra who essays the role of Vidya’s daughter and Amit Sadh will be playing Vidya’s son-in-law in the film.
Directed by Anu Menon, the film is slated for a 2020 release.
