Sultan‘s 300 crores, Tiger Zinda hai‘s 300 crores and now with Bharat 200 crores more, Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan have developed brilliant chemistry that propels the fireworks at the box office. Known for making the optimum use of Khan’s machismo, Ali in an interview, spoke about his experience of working with the star, dream project with Salman and Shah Rukh Khan and much more.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Ali Abbas Zafar stated that while working with Salman Khan, you have to make sure that the movie has a universal appeal. “The maturity in my work comes from his experience. When you do a film with Salman Khan, you can’t alienate a section of audience”, reports Mirror.
He said that Bharat was the most challenging project for him as the history of 70 years was to be suppressed and shown in two hours. Though it didn’t earn as touted, it still turned out to be big money spinner. “Not all films are meant to make Rs 300 crore at the box-office”, adds the filmmaker.
Speaking about future projects, Ali said that he is planning a spin-off of Katrina’s Zoya from Tiger franchise. “We are working on something which is a spin-off for Zoya, but let’s see. It is very important to lock the story first as only after that everything is possible.”, quotes Ali.
And finally he also given a nod for his dream collaboration with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan by adding, “That is my dream project and inshallah, someday, I would write a story that brings them together in a film.”
