Director Prabhudheva helmed Akshay Kumar’s film Rowdy Rathore in the year of 2012. It created wonders at the box office. Now we’ve got some more interesting news for you. Rowdy Rathore is all set for a sequel, and we have a confirmation by the makers too.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shabinaa Khan confirmed that the work on the script of the same is going on.
Shabinaa Khan, who co-produced the original with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has revealed that they are working on the script of Rowdy Rathore 2. Months ago, producer of the film Sanjay Leela Bhansali had taken a dig on Akshay Kumar by telling where does he have the time. In January 2018 Akshay had hosted a press conference to tell that Padman’s date was being shifted to January 26th for adjusting Padmaavat. At that time in good humour Akshay Kumar had commented that he wanted Rowdy Rathore 2 to be made.
Akshay played the role of a thief named Shiva and a cop called Vikram Rathore. It was a double role. Still, there is no confirmed news on whether Sonakshi Sinha would play Paro, the love syrup in the movie, or whether someone else has been considered.
Going by the trend, a lot of Hindi filmmakers remake south Indian movies. Is the south Indian film industry better than Bollywood in terms of storyline? Prabhudheva has an answer for it.
“Everywhere people are talented…both ways, goods things are happening. Also, it is not a new trend. Tamil films are also made from Hindi. It’s just that now because of social media, YouTube…so many people are getting to know about it,” said the “Kaadhalan” actor.
