Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan was last seen sharing screen almost seventeen years ago. These two Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein co-stars might reunite for a film, but this time it’s not a romantic drama. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Saif and Madhavan will be seen together in Aanand L Rai’s production venture directed by Navdeep Singh.

Earlier Navdeep was to direct Anushka Sharma’s production venture Kaneda starring Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh, but he chose Saif-Maddy’s historical movie instead.

What has been heard so far is that another co-star of Saif Ali Khan from his film Omkara, the very talented Deepak Dobriyal will also join the actor in this period film. The buzz is also that Mukkabaaz actress Zoya Hussain is finalised to play the female lead in this movie.

The film is scheduled to go on floors early next month and we hear that R Madhavan might go for another makeover for this film. A source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “Since it’s a period film, Saif and Madhavan will be training in sword-fighting and horse-riding. They will require a lot of prosthetics and the team has been working on their look for a long time. Last week, there was a final look test in Mumbai and the film is ready to roll now.” The shooting for the film will be done across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.

It will be exciting to see Saif and Maddy in one frame again after 17 years.
