Aamir Khan, who made the headlines when he dined with US President Barack Obama during the latter’s visit to India, is all set to return to the silver screen as a policeman. The last time Aamir played the role of a policeman was in the 1999 film, Sarfarosh, where he enacted the role of Ajay Singh Rathod, an IPS officer bent on stopping cross-border terrorism
The buzz is that, similar to his role in ‘Sarfarosh’, Aamir will play a determined, street-smart plainclothes officer of the Crime Branch in director Reema Kagti’s next project. The film will star two heroines, for which names like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kangna Ranaut are doing the rounds. Reema Kagti has earlier directed Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., besides being the assistant director for movies like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai and Vanity Fair. Her latest production with Aamir Khan will go to the floors in February 2011.
