Abhishek Bachchan’s much hyped Raavan road show in Mumbai received a setback when the Mumbai Police confiscated some sound equipment and detained the a event manager for not possessing the required permissions to use loudspeakers in a silence zone. Right before the actor arrived, the police took the said action at at Flora Fountain in South Bombay. Eventually, the organisers had to cancel this leg of the road show and move Abhishek directly to the next destination.
The initial plan for the Raavan road show was that Abhishek Bachchan would travel in an open double-decker bus flagging off from Metro Cinema on a route that would include hot-spots like Flora Fountain, Kala Ghoda, Wilson College, Carter Road, Juhu and finally a multiplex in Versova.
Sources informed Koimoi that the organisers also had to make another last minute modification to Abhishek’s schedule as one of his stops was just outside Shah Rukh Khan’s house in Bandra, which posed a challenge as the latter also receives heavy crowds outside his residence on weekends.
This, however, has failed to dampen Abhishek’s spirit and he lead the cavalcade into Wilson College at Girgaum Chowpatty, receiving a huge response from the crowds gathered to meet him.
Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram starrer Raavan is slated to release on the June 18, 2010.
