Toofaan Movie Review: Farhan Akhtar Is A Partial Storm But Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Makes The Hard Work Look Too Easy

Why I Watched Toofaan & You Shouldn't

1. THE PACE

The film begins in full speed without wasting time in especially introducing characters, good point. But it refuses to slow down throughout. Let me breathe!

2. FARHAN AKHTAR'S AJJU BHAI

While Aziz Ali the boxer is amazing and Farhan puts all his heart in shaping up the character in that segment where he performs the sport. But what happened when he plays the local goon from Dongri? He tries hard but falls flat.

3. IT'S ALL SO EASY

Conflicts come and go like a daily soap and you are never given enough to invest in them emotionally. It looks like the struggle and hard-work was so easy.

4. MUSIC

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's movies are always about an outstanding music album. Shankar Ehsaan Loy fail to live up to the standard they themselves have set in the past this time.

5. PARALLEL STORYLINES

While the parallel narratives are amazing and deserve to be spoken about. But giving them half hearted conclusions does no good to them or the viewer.

Paresh Rawal is a treat to watch as the coach Nana Prabhu. The actor shows why he is a veteran as he grabs your attention in every single scene he is in.

But they fail to create the impact their last collaboration did (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag).
