Raaz Reboot is collecting well at the single screens. Emraan Hashmi’s last few films [Azhar, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Mr. X, Ungli, Raja Natwarlal, Ghanchakkar, Ek Thi Daayan] were all catering primarily to multiplex audiences. Unfortunately, none of them emerged as good successes. However, the one which did – Raaz 3 – was a very big success and that film had done well in multiplexes as well as single screens. Now that Emraan Hashmi has returned to his home turf with Raaz Reboot – a film catering entirely to the masses – the collections of 6.3 crore at the least lend a positive beginning.
The film has been made at controlled costs which means recovery won’t be an issue as long as the collections do not decline. Not that a start of 6.3 crore has brought the film into a zone where all involved can immediately pop the champagne. However, it has at least given reasonable confidence to its investors [T-Series, Bhatts, Vashu Bhagnani] that there is a good chance for Raaz Reboot to eventually pull through.
