Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur is unsaid answers to all those who thought of him as just a charming face that makes the audience go crazy over his style and dancing. Well, with the trailers and songs of Badlapur that have been promoted up till now has been widely accepted not only by Varun’s fans but many beyond that. However, the complete picture will be proved on 20th February.
Nevertheless, the actor is confident about this leap of faith in his carrier called Badlapur. In conversation with Koimoi he says, “I am confident that it is a good film, I am confident that it’s a very new subject and I am confident that it is very cinematic. It is not the run of the mill film. I am not going to go out there and dance and jump, I can’t do that with this film. I don’t get the opportunity over here, but somewhere down the line there is an emotional connect with the audience in this film. With the songs, like Jee Karda becoming popular, people are liking what they are seeing, so we are hopeful, fingers crossed.”
Elaborating on his mentioning of ‘Jee Karda’ when asked was it his call on having a dance routine in this intense film, Varun explains, “Sriram had to agree otherwise we would not be doing it, because he was on set everyday. But in a way the dancing is also different in Jee Karda. He has not done it similar to other films of mine. I think it’s a perfect addition in the film, and if Badlapur has a song it has to be Jee Karda. The two other tracks are amazing as well; my personal favorite is ‘Judaai’. The video of Judaai is actually what Badlapur is, that’s how sensitive the film is.”
After a hard core film like Badlapur, Varun Dhawan will be next seen in Remo D’Souza’s dance film ABCD2 which also stars Shraddha Kapoor. And the actor is surprised by the actress’ dance routines. “I think Shraddha is going to be one of the hidden surprises in the film. People should definitely watch out for her. I don’t want to reveal much, because I want people to feel like how I felt when I first time saw her dancing. And like I said she is one of the USPs of the film.”
Varun Dhawan is all praises for his ABCD2 co-star Shraddha leading a curiosity among the audience. The movie is slated to release on 19th June 2015.
