Ajay Devgn’s directorial Shivaay is one of the most anticipated films of the year. While Ajay will be directing as well as acting in the film, he is making sure the film gets a good backing from the producers too. Devgn wants the film to be distributed well and have a nation wide big release.
We hear, after Eros International, the film has also struck a deal with Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India. Buzz is, the film’s India distribution cost is now 70 crores. Having multiple stake holders on board seemed to be a wise decision and hence a 50-50 deal has been struck between Eros and Pen India. Thus, there is an investment of Rs. 35 crores each by both Eros International and Pen India.
The budget for overseas distribution is a completely different plan. Ajay clearly wants to give the Indian audience a lavish experience. The film is slated to be this year’s big Diwali release.
